Chapter Fifteen

After the blatant display at their last feast in the Yss village Krisa was certain that her Certificate of Virginity was going to be a worthless piece of paper by the time she reached Prime. Despite his personal loathing for rape, Teague would listen to the needs of her body and ignore the protests coming out of her mouth. He would take her to the hut and have her any way he wanted her. The knowledge was almost a relief.

Krisa had never known her body could burn so hotly, had never understood that the unfulfilled yearning inside her could grow so huge that she felt like she was on fire, endlessly burning but never consumed. Even though the consequences if Lord Radisson were to insist on a re-verification of her virginity once she got to Prime were extreme, Krisa couldn’t make herself care.

Teague had led her by the hand to the guest house after their performance, pulling her inside and shutting the door roughly behind them. Krisa stood shivering in the center of the small space, knowing what had to come next. She would protest, of course, she had that much propriety left at least. But the huge Feral would have her anyway, would take her the way she was aching to be taken, of that she was sure.

“Strip.” Teague’s voice was little more than a low growl and Krisa didn’t even tried to protest. With trembling fingers she pulled off the soondar eye-blue feasting outfit and untied the thongs that held the small triangle of green leather that covered her sex in place. She stood naked before him in the lamplight, shivering with cold, waiting for the inevitable.

Teague crossed the distance between them with one stride and pulled her into his arms. Threading his fingers through her long, loose hair, he pulled her head back and kissed her fiercely, plundering her mouth while his other hand roamed freely over her naked body. He fondled her breasts, pinching her nipples and cupped the wet mound of her sex, his fingers invading her cunt until Krisa moaned hotly into his mouth.

At last he pulled back. Looking at her intensely with eyes that had gone a solid, drowning silver he demanded, “Tell me you want this, Krisa. Tell me you want to give yourself to me—here, now, tonight.”

She opened her mouth, wanting more than anything to say yes. To give him the permission he needed to do what they both wanted so badly, but somehow, she just couldn’t say it. The voice of every instructor she’d ever had at Briar Rose seemed to rise like unquiet ghosts in her mind, whispering in horror at what she was about to do.
